About Tien

Tien Viet Nguyen is a vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist blending soul, jazz, and R&B. Based in New York’s Hudson Valley, his work celebrates musicianship and global collaboration. Also recording under the pseudonym SAÍGO, Tien moves fluidly between the worlds of soul, jazz, and EDM, bringing his unique emotive style to each sonic creation.

His debut solo album, Whatever You’re Feelin’, showcases fine tapestries of sound interlaced with positive messages and assertive groove. The 12-track LP, produced during a year-long residency in São Paulo, features extraordinary musicians from Brazil, Bulgaria, and the United States.

Currently, Tien can be found in the Hudson Valley performing live with A Groove Gathering, a local soul band formed to unite communities through the power of music and dancing. In 2021, he co-founded Lavender Beat Collective, a remotely collaborating worldbeat project.
